United Methodist Cooperative Ministries  UMCM serves over 8,000 people each year through programs which include emergency food pantries, emergency assistance with rent and utility payments, after-school tutoring for at-risk bilingual children, a multi-cultural preschool, computer learning labs, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and family literacy programs.  UMCM provides service, education and advocacy to those in need in five Florida counties.     

LifeCare of Brandon LifeCare of Brandon has recorded over 50,000 contacts with women facing a crisis pregnancy since its inception 21 years ago and serves between 250 and 300 women each month.  LifeCare offers support to women, couples and families during a critical time of life-changing decisions, offering free services, including pregnancy testing; adoption counseling and referrals; doctor referrals; support groups; childbirth and parenting classes.

Alpha House of Pinellas Now in its 30th year, Alpha House has provided transitional housing and support services to over 3,000 pregnant women, teens and infants in Pinellas County, Florida, and beyond. The goal of Alpha House is to move women from homelessness to self-sufficiency while promoting critical life skills including permanent housing, healthy relationships, positive parenting, sound nutrition, a good self-image and self-empowerment

Simply Hope, Inc. For over four years, Simply Hope has served as a leading provider of transitional living facilities for recovering substance abusers in Pinellas County, Florida.  The organization currently operates nine transitional housing units, sheltering 45 men and women, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  The mission of Simply Hope is to provide safe, affordable, drug and alcohol free housing to recovering substance abusers as they transition into productive lives.

New Life Village New Life Village, Inc., of northeast Hillsborough County, exists for the singular purpose of finding adoptive homes for vulnerable youth in the foster care system.   New Life Village,  through the development of an intergenerational community of caring, will focus on providing a safe and stable environment within an adoptive family for those at risk children in foster care who are least likely to get adopted; specifically older children and sibling groups. 

Somebody Cares Tampa Bay The goal of Somebody Cares Tampa Bay (SCTB) is to provide outreach support to Tampa Bay organizations that work to meet the basic needs of poverty stricken, infirmed and handicapped citizens in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties. SCTB unites and mobilizes local government, business and community organizations in order to increase community activism and to streamline resource distribution. 

Solita’s House Solita’s House, founded in 2006, serves first time homebuyers and those who are facing foreclosure.  The mission of Solita’s House is to build the capacity of the people and partners they serve in the areas of economic literacy coaching, homeowner education and community revitalization.  In 2009, the agency saved 94 families from foreclosure.

Your Career Alternatives Program of North Bay Community Church Your Career Alternatives Program is a job assistance and coaching program covering all of the strategies necessary to help those out of work to find a job or career.  To date, the organization has worked with approximately 500 Pinellas County residents in a free `hands-on’ workshop, assisting 87 or 17.4% of those served to find employment. 

Family Enterprising Family Enterprising’s mission is to promote the founding and strong growth of Biblical households through programs including Birth of a Family,  Pre-Meditated Marriage Coaching, Family Coaching, Reviving the Biblical Household and Men’s Ministry. Birth of a Family partners with pregnancy centers to offer a seven-session course to educate and support parents as to the keys to raising a child in a stable, nuclear family and the importance of a father.  

PCAT  The purpose of the after-school PCAT (Parents and Children Advance Together) program is to instill literacy as a value with emphasis on breaking the intergenerational cycle of non-readers in the Sulphur Springs community in Tampa, one of the most socially and economically depressed areas in Hillsborough County, Florida.  PCAT serves first and second grade children identified as reading below a desired reading level and displaying low academic achievement. 

Way Out Prison Ministry Founded in 1977, Way Out Prison Ministry recorded over 35,000 inmate contacts last year; providing Chaplains to several county jails and four state prisons in northeast Ohio.  The ministry’s purpose is to see people whose broken lives have been a drain on the community become productive and contributing members of society.  

Daddy’s Girls Daddy’s Girls Ministry provides life skills education and spiritual guidance to female inmates in 15 prison facilities throughout Florida.  For women re-entering society after incarceration, DGM maintains a home in Hillsborough County and apartments in Polk County, providing job search assistance, life skills mentoring, and case management services.   Established in 2001, the agency’s mission is to assist clients by promoting education, economic empowerment, and self-sufficiency, thus encouraging disadvantaged citizens to rise above their circumstances.

Silver Glass Productions, Inc.  The mission of Silver Glass Productions is to develop and produce socially relevant theatre from a unique perspective and in doing so promote community dialogue.  Silver Glass is especially interested in producing theatre that is of high quality, but at free or greatly reduced admission prices for the public.
